I haven't used this crock yet, but it is very nice, I like that there are weights that fit in it perfectly. It is a nice size, there are only 2 of us, I don't need a gigantic crock to make enough for us. Will be utilizing soon, and will update if necessary.

It's nice jar, the only thing is I was not aware that it comes with a nice pounder.I bought three of these, the first two I just through the box away without noticing the pounder was inside.I found the pounder this time. It's not in the main picture or title. I hope the seller can fix this.

Good size, with built in easy to clean airlock. I've got cabbage fermenting in it for kimchi as I write!

Arrive in good condition and it was the perfect size for kraut or pickles. Worked great and looked nice on my counter. I was worried it might be too small but it was exactly what I wanted

This fermentation crock is the only one I found that had glazed weights. One constant complaint from buyers of similar products is that the crock is glazed but the weights are not and therefore can not be cleaned and sterilized. This crock is well made and comes well packaged. I filled it with 7 lb of shredded cabbage from 4 cabbages that weighed a bit over 9 lb when purchased.The only problem is that the collar of the water-lock seal is hollow inside and when you try to empty the crock, liquid gets trapped there and the only way of removing it is to absorb it with a clean sponge or with paper towels.All in all it is a great product and it has the right capacity for me. Before we were using two 1 gal glass jars to make the same quantity of sauerkraut.

I have been making sauerkraut for 20 years. This water seal crock is so easy to use. Everything came in unbroken and ready to use. Of course after a quick wash. I will write more when the batch of sauerkraut is done fermenting.

Kimchi making is going to be a new hobby for me. I have known for years about the probiotic health benefits of kimchi but can't get beyond the texture. However, Korean dramas have renewed my interest in trying something new. I plan to give kimchi making a try since I will be able to adjust flavors more to my own taste as I learn. Also, if I still can't get past the texture, I plan to use it up in kimchi pancakes or kimchi stew, or other dishes where the texture will not be noticed so much. I have an interest in other countries, cultures, and foods. I won't use this until the Spring, but the pot came well packed in styrofoam and was in good condition. I am looking forward to trying it out.

A good looking pot to have on the counter for three weeks while your cabbage is saurkrauting, which came out just fine. However, the space at the top of the crock has an odd lip that can catch some of the cabbage when you pounding and will keep it out of the brine which could allow some mold to grow. It also makes it hard to pour the brine out of the crock. It also makes it a bit difficult to clean compared to some other designs.

Packaging was sturdy and tough enough to protect the crock.It's excellent for Pickling eggplant or pickles...highly recommended.

These crocks are beautiful, but more delicate that American made stone crocks.1st one came with a broken lid.2nd one has the extrusion nub on the bottom down below the floor rim, so it wobbles. I'm being charged for the replacement, so I will make 1 good crock and send back the defective parts.All in all it is a nice product, but delicate.
