Omix-Ada 16738.04 Brake Shoe Kit, 10''; 82-89 Jeep CJ/Wrangler YJ/Cherokee XJ

This kit is a direct replacement on my '87 Jeep Wrangler. This is the first time I have done a drum brake job, and honestly it isn't too bad at all, so don't shy away from it if you're new to it. Take pictures of everything BEFORE you take it apart and only do one side at time so you have the other side as a reference to make sure you are putting this back the right way...and YouTube it...do all of that and you will be able to get it done just fine. Yes, they are a bit more complicated than disc brakes, but not so much so that they are impossible to do on your own. I saved about $1,000 in parts and labor costs compare to the quote from the local auto repair shop....they will rob you blind AND they didn't even catch the fact that I had a vacuum leak in my master cylinder, which they didn't even include on the estimate. Do it yourself and save a LOT of money and have the pride of accomplishment of doing it yourself (DIY)!!! These parts matched up just fine and installed where they need to go with the inevitable fenagling that you will probably need to do if you've never done it before, but you will get it done...no problem! I also replaced the brake cylinders that are not included in this kit because....why not?...they're only $8 a piece so you might as well do it all while you're in there.
