So yeah. The whole friggen rod on my 79 CJ7 just snapped off while in town. Luckily the light turned green, which allowed us to coast into a parking lot. A new rod, tip, and spring made the Jeep shift better than it ever has in the 20 years I've owned it. Maybe I should have swapped it sooner...
