The knob is Direct Replacement and Installation was straight forward by threading onto the existing threads of the metal shaft. There is no issue with the interface between the two parts with the knob securely screwing into place. The knob surface is shiny with the numeral Shift Pattern engraved into the hard plastic material.Thank you for looking at my Review. Much appreciated! It's a mostly OK knob but the numbers are painted on the surface instead of being recessed in the knob like on the OEM knob. I have a feeling overtime the print is going to wear off pretty quickly.
