I bought this to fix my speedometer when I went to large 33 tires on my Jeep TJ. There are 3 settings on this when installing it. Just make sure that you look at it and line up the right setting for your gearing and everything works fine. My speedometer is now accurate.

Upgraded tires size and gear ratio on my 2002 TJ.Purchased this per a chart listing the ratio in relation to tire size and gearing.Installed with in 5 minutes. Spent more time cleaning the area it plugs in than I did installing it.I wish I knew it was this easy years ago!

With 4.88 gears and 35 tires this is a must have. Easy one bolt and one plug to swap it out.

It is so nice having an accurate speedometer. My speedometer has been incorrect since it bought it 9 years ago. I recently regeared my Jeep and the Speedo was way off. Used the chart on the ad to figure out which gear I needed then ordered it. This was a very easy install. Less than 15 minutes and no mess. Only gave it 4 for accuracy because the Speedo is off 2 mph. I wish I had installed this years ago.

Worked like a charm. Being the gear difference was so much different than factory had to put in 180 degrees from factory

Installed on a 97 Jeep Wrangler 4.56 gearing and 33 inch tires. Speedometer is now perfect!

it took just a minute to correct the odometer, one half inch bolt on the transfer case on the old TJ wrangler. had new gears installed, jeep has 488 gears with 35 tires...

So I had a set of 4.10 gears installed in the rear end of my Dajiban. The speedo was, as one would expect, wildly inaccurate after that. I consulted the intergoogles and discovered I needed to swap my 34 tooth pinion for a 39 tooth pinion. So I ordered it. Of course it arrived on a rainy, cold, miserable day, but I couldn't wait. I crawled under the van with a 13mm wrench, cursed the guy who told me I needed a 13mm wrench, found the correct bolt, un-cursed him, removed the old pinion, popped the new pinion in, and bolted it all back together. All in, fifteen minutes work to install. I took a hoon up onto the freeway and the odometer clicked exactly the same tenth at every mile marker for about five miles. The accuracy is astounding! So, if you need a speedometer pinion for a Dodge, this one is a good choice... well, I mean, you need to figure out YOUR tooth count needs, but once you do, this is a good choice. Sort of thing.

Cambie los pasos originales de mi Jeep tj de 3.73 a 4.56 y el rodado a 33”, con ello el velocmetro marcaba un 20 ms de lo que realmente recorra.Al cambiarlo por el velocmetro corto de 39 dientes ahora marca exactamente la velocidad y distancia

I had regeared the Jeep and needed this to fix the speedometer reading. This did the trick. It's not something that can be seen as it is a hidden decor on the inside of the transmission but it does function as designed.

Easy install that fixed my speedo. I regeared my TJ and installed an SYE which caused my speedo to be inaccurate

I changed out the gears on my 1998 TJ from the stock 3.07 gearing on 33 tires to 4.56 gears on 33 tires. Spot on now!1 bolt to pull assembly pop off the old gear snap on the new one and reinstall. Time it takes to install - 1 beer.
