Replacement for the rotten boot on my 1986 Jeep CJ-7 main shifter. Quick and easy install. All holes lined up perfectly. The only issue is the rubber is so stiff, it pulls the stick out of gear unless I'm holding it in place. I'm hoping that the heat from the drive train will soften it it with combined use and maybe it will loosen up.

Put this on my 84 cj7 didn't have any of the shifter issues other people have spoke of. But my transmission has fairly new bushings on the mounts. Those go soft fairly often and can cause problems.
