One of my relatives has been pharmacologically treated for hypertension for several years and recently had been experiencing exceptionally high readings (i.e. 170/96, etc.) using her Omron BP device with the original one-size-fits-all cuff. This female is in her late sixties, very active, exercises and weighs in at 100 pounds soaking wet. I suggested that perhaps the original cuff was way to large for her size and was possibly giving her those troubling readings.After receiving this new size appropriate BP cuff her systolic and diastolic pressures dropped dramatically to clinically acceptable, normotensive parameters. I strongly advised her to insist her PCP order a 24-hour in home wearable monitoring device to confirm their previous diagnosis.

We have an older OMRON 711 sphygmomanometer that was checked by our personal physician to be accurate. When the cuff started leaking we wanted to keep the old unit and just replace the cuff. This one fit and works perfectly.

The BP cuff that came with our meter was too large for my wife's arm. This cuff is perfect for virtually anyone no matter what size arm. Had to use the adapter that came with the meter instead of the ones supplied with the cuff. As long as the inside diameter (ID) of the existing cuff adapter matches the tubing ID all is well.

I like that it's much quieter and better built than the flosser I just threw away. I just hope it continues to work well. It's small and neat on my sink counter. It's easy to control.
