Mission: OBOL is a leader in animal rescue dedicated to providing food and critical pet supplies at no cost for over 12,000 homeless animals a year in California, other states, and internationally. OBOL helps improve the health and survival of homeless pets, increasing their chances of adoption. We believe that no animal should be abused, neglected or abandoned, spending its existence in fear, pain and hunger, but instead have the right to live a life filled with love and compassion.
Results: Since 2008, we have reached thousands of animals and people who care about animals:833 animal rescue groups326 foster caretakers101 animal shelters14,606 humane education students18,416 plus homeless people with pets14,606 ages pre-school to high school took our Humane Education Learning Program (HELP)76 Agencies that help the homeless and depend on us for the pet supplies for the pets of the homelessDuring natural disasters like the recent fires, plus floods, and earthquakes, OBOL is on call to donate pet food, crates, blankets, and other life-saving supplies for displaced animals in California, across the United States, and internationally. Plus during the COVID-19 Pandemic we have been on the front lines with masks and gloves in tow to help all the rescue organizations in need.
