Mission: Founded in 2003, Operation: Care and Comfort’s mission is to provide support and comfort to deployed troops, veterans, and their families. OCC ships monthly care packages to “adopted” military units serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other conflict regions until they return home. In addition, OCC is proud of the support we provide to troops serving on humanitarian missions, such as the Haiti earthquake, Japanese Tsunami and Hurricanes and wild fires here at home. OCC also supports military families and veterans through two programs, “Adopt a Military Family” and “Tickets for Troops. ” These programs allow us to support military families who are left behind when a loved one deploys, when their loved ones return home, and to assist veterans, wounded and homeless veterans, Gold Star families and military children. OCC is an all volunteer organization, and the founders and organization have received numerous prestigious awards including the Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher distinguished Humanitarian Award from the Department of Defense, and the National Red Cross’ Service to Armed Forces Award, and a visit with President Bush in 2007.Fiscally responsible, our overhead has never exceeded 3%. .
Results: Tens of thousands of troops, veterans and their dependents have been supported through Operation: Care and Comfort's three programs.

Programs: OCC Care packages : monthly packages of personal items, clothing, and food are sent overseas to deployed troops in all branches of the military. OCC Tickets for Troops: Sports teams, season ticket holders, sponsors, and promoters donate tickets to our organization so troops, veterans, and their families may attend events for free. Millions of dollars worth of tickets have been gifted to troops, vets and their families, including Gold Star families. OCC Adopt a Military Family: Through this program, military/veterans families in need of support are anonymously adopted by civilian families, organizations, and companies. Hundreds of military, veterans, and their families (including Gold Star families) are supported annually through this program during the holidays and throughout the year.
