Mission: Acquisition and maintenance of public land.

Programs: Land acquisition - for purchase of two parcels totaling 185 acres to be held by the university of maine and by the state of maine, and for legal costss for a parcel to be acquired by olt in the future.

stewardship and trails - stewardship of 632 acres of parcels owned in fee, 657 acres of conservation easements, eight trail easements, and 184 acres of town- and state-owned land.

communication and education - published three newsletters for members, held a number of public walks, and presented an educational program at the annual meeting.
