I wish I had done more research before purchasing this set. I was very happy about the 2” comb because I have a long haired doodle that we groom ourselves and it's very hard to find a set with longer combs. There are a lot of different size options, but although I purchased a set of clippers that said was compatible with the combs, our dog's hair gets stuck stuck in between the comb and the clippers and makes for a very uncomfortable experience for both of us.Additionally, I was putting one of the combs on the clippers and all of a sudden a spring popped out of the comb and the entire comb feel to pieces. The metal combs themselves are somewhat on the flimsy side, so just be aware of that when you get them home.

I have had no issues thus far with this set of guide combs. This is the first time I've used metal ones so I'm glad they are functioning as they should. They have not bent on me at all or become shappen in any way I've used them. With that said, I don't know how people have managed to do that because I struggle getting them onto the blade. They are that sturdy and hard core for me. Also, I've only used it in dogs and not any large animals. So perhaps this is where the wear and tear is happening on other buyers. But still, I can imagine ripping through hair that quickly and harshly enough to bent the frame. Maybe I just bought a good set where the metal on my combs are different than theirs?That is why I've put mine at 4 stars. If you don't have great hand strength they can be a little hard to put on.

I bought these specifically for the 1.25, 1.5, and 2 guards. Great for experienced groomers who want to set longer lengths instead of handscissoring an entire dog. Still requires a lot of scissor work, but Great time savers. The guards will bend or break if dropped repeatedly. Recommended for maintained, thoroughly brushed out coats as the guard feels like it could slip off the blade if you run into any small tangle.

Came with lots of different sizes which is good when doing long haired dogs like goldendoodles who may want a couple inches left on them. Hair does get snagged in the comb but u just gotta make sure to remove the hair frequently from the combs. Some of the larger combs I don't use cause they're just too big but great variety available. If ur a groomer u should have this in ur tool kit supply.

Overall I'm very happy with these, especially the longer attachment lengths that a lot of other companies don't provide. Only downside is they do a fair bit of rattling around and I've tried multiple blade/clippers combos with no change.

I question the surdineds/longevity. One of the attachments broke on the 2nd use. Time will tell.

Works perfect for grooming my f1 golden doodle at home. I've tried without combs like this and it just doesn't work. These pick up so much more hair and make it so much easier and faster. I can get professional results using these.

I was hesitant to get these because there was no pic of the back. However, I was very happy to see theyre just like the wahls. I groom a lot of doodles and i cant wait to go a little longer.

COVID taught me to do my own pixie cut at home. These and an Oster Outlaw dog clipper paid for themselves by the end of the summer.Good for dogs, better for humans.

These are a bit heavier and more durable than the Wahl guards, although the Wahl are still my go-to. But really, who DOESN'T need a 2 guard!! Seriously great range of sizes, and they all work well!
