I have had these hats before.they claim 50 protection from uv sun built into material and in warm weather very comfortable.lets air in on sides

We love our OR Caps for hiking our many miles of trails! They are light weight and breathable which makes it really nice for hiking. We have hiked to many memorable places in our OR Caps and our hikes would not be the same without our lucky hats! Last year we walked 2301 mile in 2020 and so far 2,021 miles in 2021 in our OR Caps! Not too shabby for a 63 and 72 year old along with their 7 year old border collie, Jasper the Adventure Pup We are thinking as a celebration of our accomplishments we may get some new caps, maybe a gift from the hiking Santa! Thank you, OR, for making wonderful products that last and perform so well

My husband loves these hats, they are comfortable, keep the dangerous rays off his head, wash up well in the washer!

The fit of the hat is fine and it serves it's intended purpose...but unfortunately the back clasp (plastic) broke within the first 2 weeks.

Great hat. I've got a huge head; NASA recently officially classified it as a dwarf planet. Yet this hat fit perfectly with lots of adjustment room on the band. Looks good too.

This hat just works...it has mesh panels on the side that give you ventilation. The fit is perfect. Fabric is lightweight and comfy. It's the only hat I've found that I can wear in Texas humidity without generating gallons of sweat uptop. I'd even say it's cooling me off on a hot day...not warming me up. So, kudos to the Outdoor Research folks for designing a great cap for hot and humid conditions.

I am not really a hat wearer, but the sun really causes me to squint and get headaches. This is a great cap to have in your back pack. Its lightweight, and the bill is in good proportion to the hat. Well made and I use it all the time. Great hat for a non hat wearer.

It's a lightweight hat with large side vents. The hat keeps the sun away and the side vents keep you cool.
