Mission: PSS's mission is to strengthen the capacity of older New Yorkers, their families, and communities to thrive!

Target demographics: Adults 50+

Direct beneficiaries per year: Served 152,750 hot nutritious meals at our service centers. Held 3,992 caregiver counseling sessions. Provided 447 people with housing in our apartments. More than 280 Volunteers gave us over 30,200 service hours.

Geographic areas served: All 5 Boroughs of the New York City metro area.

Programs: PSS Circle of Care - Free critical services and support throughout all five New York City boroughs for caregivers of those who are frail, chronically ill, or have memory loss. || PSS Community Centers - Our nine local centers’ programs and activities help older adult members stay healthy, engaged, and connected. || PSS Residences - The PSS/WSF Grandparent Family Apartments is the first residence built in the U. S. specifically for grandparents raising grandchildren. Alberta L. Alston House and Fort Schuyler House also provide residential apartments. || PSS Kinship Caregivers and Youth & Young Adults programs deliver a range of free services to those of all ages. || PSS Life! University - Helps older adults learn and grow with community education presentations and workshops, in person and online. || Coming of Age NYC - Inspires people 50+ to live with passion and purpose.
