Programs: First Connection - connecting newly diagnosed patients to those who have been down the road they are about to embark upon. We also have a dozen students helping us with processing human tissue in our International Tissue Bank. The experience helps them with the unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and fill meaningful roles in medical research at a young age. Support Groups: hosting both caregiver and patient support groups for mesothelioma patients that allows them to ask questions, share stories, and release difficult emotions with people who understand what they are going through. Events: The annual 5K Walk for Mesothelioma where hundreds of patients, family members, and supporters walk to raise money for mesothelioma research and awareness. In addition, there is also the annual Symposium on Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma. where global mesothelioma experts discuss the latest treatment options and research for mesothelioma.
