Mission: Palm Beach Opera is dedicated to producing live opera at an international standard of excellence, to enriching the life of the communities it serves with a diverse offering of educational programs, and to training the next generation of opera stars. Founded in 1961 as the Civic Opera of the Palm Beaches, the fully professional Palm Beach Opera presents three main stage performances from January through March at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach. In addition to the fully staged live opera performances, Palm Beach Opera maintains a three-tiered artist training program: the Benenson Young Artist Program, the Bailey Apprentice Artist Program, and the Palm Beach Opera Studio. Palm Beach Opera is committed to arts education and last year reached more than 19,000 adults and children through its community engagement and education programs.  (Less)
