We bought these for sun protection. Had a nasty reaction to the sun earlier this year. He likes them, said that they helped keep him cool while mowing.The sleeve on one of the shirts had stitching that had missed the fabric, but since he bought them as work shirts, we didn't send them back.

Excellent shirt, did its job, nice fit, hem did come apart after wash, but easy fix no complaints here...

I use this shirt for whenever I'm going to be in straight sunlight for 4 hours. The shirt is light and surprisingly cool. I feel like it really does take the brunt of what the sun dishes out. The fit could be slightly better, increased length being the main complaint. I left it at 4 stars just because if it was 鈥減erfect鈥?it would be a bit longer in my opinion. But it's still a great shirt, I highly recommend!

Title says it all, just slightly snug for size. 1 up for a looser fit or your size for snugger fit.Quality, price and doing it's job, all great.

I wear them everyday and even in the hotest days keep me cool. Keep me from getting sunburned. I will purchase again.

I have Solar Urticaria, I'm allergic to UVA and UVB. I put this shirt (XL Orange) on yesterday and could only stand in the sunlight coming through a window (so only UVA) for 45 seconds before I started getting that acid burning my skin feeling as the hives appeared and my throat started to swell closed... Without a shirt, in direct sunlight, it also takes 45 seconds for this to happen. This shirt provides little-to-no protection against UVA, which comes through glass, ages your skin, and gives you cancer. While it MAY delay sunburn (UVB) for YOU, it is just as good as wearing nothing for UVA.Other commenters (shills) mentioned that UPF 50 shirts should allow light through, that holding a UPF 50 cloth up to your eye could still allow you to see around you, and that UPF 50 cloth is the same as SPF 50 sunscreen. They are incorrect on all points.UPF 50 should block OVER 98 of all UVA and UVB light. You shouldn't really be able to tell you're looking directly at the sun through a single layer of real unstretched UPF 50 cloth but I could see your face through this shirt in normal room lighting... UPF is rated against UVA and UVB while SPF is just for UVB (even most broad spectrum sunscreens' ratings are just for UVB, they still let a ton of UVA light through).It seems like a decent regular shirt for the price but don't think you're protecting anyone, like you kids, spouse, or self, with it. The actual Hanes packaging doesn't say anything about UPF, it seems like the seller is just lying for sales.

Great shirt for blocking sun while working in the yard. My husband says it fits great, not too tight or too loose. Nice and lightweight fit.

I bought these tops for my husband to protect his skin from the scorching South Florida sun while keeping him cool as he works outdoors. He really likes how they feel and fit, however, I had to take one star off because he got bit by a mosquito because the material is that thin.

This shirt fits great. Very comfortable. I purchased it for use on jobsites around forklifts to be seen. Since it's gets so dirty I washed it in warm or hot water so it shrank a little bit but not much. Even drys sweat fairly quickly as well. I will be purchasing a couple more.

Great fit and feel, but they did have actual tags on them instead of just a print. Tags on the back of these shirts have to be cut off because they are very annoying. I thought they were advertised as having the info actually printed on the back on the neck area instead of having itchy cloth sewn on. Other than that, they fit well, and are the perfect size for keeping you out of the sun and/or overheating.

This shirt really helped my Psoriasis on my elbows. Highly recommend!

This is the third time over six years I have purchased these white long sleeve shirts. I have bought 3-5 at a time. These Keep me as cool as it can reflecting some of the sun, light weight, and fits. I use heavy sunscreen on by face and play 3 hours 3-4 x a week. They hold their stretch. Sunscreen / sweat stains the collar over time but at the price it fits the need. They are also very durable and tear resistant. Yes, I would recommend.

I like the color and the feel of the fabric. I disliked it because everyone can see every curve. If you have a somewhat of a potbelly steer away.

You can't beat the price for a 2 pack, but beware - they do not have much stretch and if you have big arms, chest or shoulders, you need to order a size up.

The sizing runs big , I'm 235 pounds and the Xl fit perfect, made in Mexico , not tag less , I would give it 5 stars but there is no UV rating on the shirt or packaging, I wanted a shirt to wear in the summer sun while bicycling and I'm not sure this one has UV rating

I use these as undershirts when umpiring baseball games in Florida. Don't know if the UPF 50 is valid (I also use sunscreen), but the long sleeves provide a bit of protection from the intense sun.
