AIA Parastone JB16 Blue Flutist by Hieronymus Bosch P3928205AIA-JB16 https://cdnimages.opentip.com/full/AIA/AIA-JB16.jpg Parastone JB16 Blue Flutist by Hieronymus Bosch Manufacturer Part Number: JB16Size: 2 in. x 3 in. x 4 in.Item Type: statueWeight (lbs): 0.4 lbs, ship wt est: 2.4This sculpture adaptation replica, Blue Flutist, from Bosch\'s Last Judgment appears on the left hand side on the middle panel of the triptych. He is a cheerful blue creature which adds luster with his music to the horrifying spectacle. He symbolizes the lawlessness, ending in many not being admitted to heaven on Judgment Day. It is an astounding creation in 3D of Bosch\'s 2D figure from the Northern Renaissance.ABOUT THE ARTWORK: THE LAST JUDGEMENT Hieronymus Bosch warns us against the consequences of a life of sin. The downfall of the rebellious angels on the left panel heralds the beginning of the end. Further, one sees the chosen few in heaven, with below them the vast remainder who will have to undergo the most horrendous tortures on Judgment Day. Saint Jacob of Compostella and the Holy Bavo adorn the closed panels.ABOUT THE ART PERIOD: From an artistic point of view, the world famous brilliant forerunner of surrealism was, in his day, unique and radically different. Hieronymus (Jeroen for short) Bosch was born (ca. 1450-1516) during the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance in s-Hertogenbosch, in the Duchy of Brabant. Bosch places visionary images in a hostile world full of mysticism, with the conviction that the human being, due to its own stupidity and sinfulness has become prey to the devil himself. He holds a mirror to the world with his cerebral irony and magical symbolism, sparing no one. He aims his mocking arrows equally well at the hypocrisy of the clergy as the extravagance of the nobility and the immorality of the people. Hieronymus Boschs style arises from the tradition of the book illuminations (manuscript illustrations from the Middle Ages). The caricature representation of evil tones down its terrifying implications, but also serves as a defiant warning with a theological basis. These fantastic and biblical sculptures from Renaissance master Hieronymus Bosch are amazing statue adaptations from historic paintings. They have a hellish and demonic surrealism to them that feels apocalyptic. These meticulously reproduced collectible art works are part of the 3D Mouseion Sculpture Collection made by Parastone, a renown European collectible manufacturer. They have a recognized name brand to the European audience and deserve our attention here in the USA. 3928205 8717202554614 2.4000lbs 0.00 0.00 0.00
