Mission: ParentChild+ engages early in life to close the equity gap, working with families in marginalized and opportunity-deprived communities to build children's social-emotional skills, prepare for school success, and access educational and community opportunities. This proven culturally relevant 2-gen model effectively supports early quality education and economic empowerment, through 92 twice-weekly home visits with families with 16-48 month olds. Families receive 46 books and educational toys and work with trained home visitors on reading, play, and conversation activities that support language-rich home environments, positive parent-child interaction, and the skills that are essential for school success. (Less)
