This stuff is not the same as the stuff that I bought years ago. I don't think it sounds as nice, either. It's much coarser and is like made of plastic or something, I can't imagine it does nearly as nice of a job as the original/genuine product. I did however find a decent replacement. Graham Salon CelluCotton Beauty Coil 100 Rayon. There's two kinds, cotton blend and rayon blend. I prefer rayon for finer, more consistent fibers. This stuff comes in a boxed roll, it's to keep hair product out of women's eyes, I believe, when they get perms and such, but it works beautifully for damping driver housings for my headphones. You just spread it thin with your fingers and then layer it up to fill the enclosure. It takes a bit of work thinning the roll out depending on the size of enclosure you're talking about filling, so if you're thinking of speakers do keep this in mind, but this rayon Cellucotton reminds me much more of the original product that I bought and loved. Bass sounds very nicely textured and the upper mids don't seem as shouty, overall I prefer the tuning of the Cellucotton to Acousta-stuf polyfill... YMMV.
