bought these to feed my snakes and tegus. they are sturdy and pretty good quality but when I picked up a large rat I literally chopped its tail off because there is way too much leverage. if you try locking them which is what I wanted to do so they wouldn't snatch the rats out of my tongs anymore. the tail got chopped in half before I had the chance to lock them but other than that they are really nice for the price.
