This really makes me miss “Radio Shack”. The wire on the clip is very fine 30ga. If this wasn't replacing a corroded clip for a low power garage door opener remote, it likely wouldn't have worked. I would have expected the wire size to be at least 24ga or larger, but prior inspection is impossible these days.

One of the wires on the 9v battery clip on my door deadbolt key pad broke. Instead of paying $200 on a new lock, I ordered this 9v battery clip and repaired it myself. It's worth every penny....

I am not THE most techy person around but I have the Tinker/MacGyver gene. I had a stud finder I bought years back that in our humid environment, melted the batteries in it that biodegraded the battery contacts. After looking at the new tool prices and finding out the tool I had was a top contender, I looked for repair materials. Found it here and bought two for the next tool I find with this D battery problem. I just twisted the wires together because I hate to solder and taped them. The battery does not move around so no problem. It is working perfectly! YES!

I received this item promptly, and it was exactly what I needed. The price was better than the big name hardware store.

I got locked out of my home and had to call a locksmith. I had a Schlage deadbolt keypad with a dead battery. Not only did I have to pay $130 to get the door open but the guy broke the battery clip while trying to change the battery. He told me I would have to buy another lock completely. I was not happy about the prospect. That would have meant shelling out at least another $170 to replace my lock. I decided to see if there was a way that I could just replace the battery clip instead. I started searching online to see if that was even a thing. Low and behold I found this device! I cut the old one out, stripped the ends of both sides of wires, twisted the ends together and installed a battery. 5 minutes later I have a keypad and lock that works perfectly for $3! I definitely recommend.

Thanks to YouTube I discovered this inexpensive solution to retracting the rear electronic caliper on my car. Instead of buying a scan tool at around $150. I purchased this for $1.30. Attach a 9 volt battery and your ready to go. Remove the rear caliper and then unplug it. Touch the wires to the caliber plug and you will hear the motor run. If the piston goes the wrong way simply reverse the wires and keep connected until the motor stops. Complete your brake job and engage the parking brake. You will hear the piston motor and you will be good to go. Saved me $350.00 compared to dealer quote.
