Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services

Mission: Psan's mission is to build a community, free of stigma, where individuals with mental illness work together toward recovery of mind, body, and spirit.

Programs: Warm line: provides a non-emergency telephoneassistance line for adult consumers of behavioral health services.

peer support: goal is to establish multiple peer-run drop-in center within allegheny county to provide an array of opportunities to individuals with mental health disorders.

peer specialists: responsible for providing comsumers with assistance in assessing problems of any nature that may arise in any area of a consumer's life, formulating solutions, and putting action plans in place to solve these problems.

advocacy program: provides cosumers throughout allegheny county withopportunities to receive services necessary for recovery through aunique means of service delivery from a trained team of peerspecialists. Outreach and education: responsible for community and public relations, internal and extenal education, and communication for peer support andadvocacy network. Coalition for recovery/peer support warmline service: providessupportive listening, problem solving, resource sharing, and peersupport for individuals in allegheny county.
