Mission: The mission of the organization is to meet the housing needs of low-income families in lewis county through home repairs and rehabilitation, new home construction, developing and managing affordable rental housing including shelter for the homeless, and by providing rental assistance, case management, credit counseling and homebuyer education.

Programs: Peoples self-help housing constructs new homes for low and very low income families in lewis county at affordable cost, financed, in part, through federal and state grants. Total homes constructed in 2012 were 7.

the organization makes improvements to existing homes of low income families, using federal and state grants and other available funds to improve the housing conditions of those individuals. In 2012, the organization completed 47 repair and rehab projects.
