The description says it's LED, but it's not. It came with an incandescent bulbwhich was loose in the fixture. I replaced with an LED bulb, but have seen how bright it is at night.The contacts on my original were corroded and as such it worked intermittently. This new one solved the problem. I've also added dielectric grease to the new one's contacts to help preserve it.I would have given it 5 stars if not for the erroneous description.

I bought a straight up and down pole, wish it slanted some, but works well, and as you know, I only use it at dark! Safe light, it's stored.

This was a nice replacement for the old perko light that came on my 1993 Princecraft. The old style glared really bad and illuminated the interior of boat which made it difficult to see at night. This new Perko light does not glare, but is still very bright and visible to other boats. Very happy with this upgrade.
