We got this product as recommended by our woodstove cleaner/inspector. The door to our wood stove had a horrible squeak. First, we cleaned any ash from the hinges then used a toothpick to apply the lubricant to the hinges. You need to give the product a few minutes to penetrate and work. It completely stopped the noise and the door is smoother to open and close.

Very good to use where needed. Does get messy. But just a little. And it goes a long way. Try not to press the brush with a lot of pressure. It does fray. But works as intended. Thanks again Permatex !

The brush that comes with this is so strange and frayed. It definitely seems like there's a better alternative. That being said, the product itself works great. It's a little difficult to get off hands and clothing so I'd recommend wearing gloves. Haven't had spark plugs or fittings seize up on me when using this product. Absolutely recommend.

Got this to keep new O2 sensors from seizing in the pipe. (Never know when you may have to change them again. ) Had to change out 2 within a year. Bad sensors came out with no trouble, coated new sensors and installed. Simple and easy.
