I had to purchase a second product since the 40 inch tape length simply wasnt enough wrap to cover the leaking flange gasket connection of my Nissan frontiers catalytic converter. With the additional product, it worked exactly as advertised and stopped the leak.NOTE: the reflective layer of the wrap was problematic during installation and peeled away from the tape during the installation, I opted to just remove it from the tape during the install. This job is messy and disposable gloves are helpful.

Applying this is really messy and a bit of a pain but it does work. I managed to seal up a hole about the size of a quarter in my exhaust pipe. The directions say sticky side down which I interpreted as 'not-the-foil side.' Wear gloves, allow it to drip off excess before pulling it out of the package, and wrap around the pipe.Allow it to cure at idle for the 20 minutes as recommended. It will stink for a few days when you run your car as it continues to cook off the resin. Works great. So far about 1000 miles later its still holding up. I do not expect it to be a permanent solution though. I'll need to replace the pipe eventually.

This product fixed the hole in my exhaust that was in the worst possible spot basically on a joint where the pipe comes to the back before splitting to my dual exhaust.Directions are not very clear about what side is the sticky side, but a bit of common sense would say the foil side goes down. This prevents the HOT pipe from melting the glue after it dries. I see all these negative posts, people separating the foil from the fiber bandage, cutting a small piece and applying like a bandaid, etc... JUST WOW, SMDH!!!Make sure the glue that is in the package soaks entirely into the wrap. Be sure to wrap at least 2 or 3 times around the area you want fixed leaving a half inch or so for over lapping. Let idle for 30 minutes. Works perfectly. Heck the glue begins to dry with just room temperature air, my hands were covered in it. Cleans off very, very easily. For extra protection, once this was dried for a few days, I put a second bandage wrapping it in the opposite direction of the first. The end result is a rock solid fix. I drive 100s of miles a day for delivery and this product is working great after 3 months of use.A lot has to do with the vague directions, but maybe if one can't get creative this type of fix isn't the way to go.
