This product is great to seal those motor wheels, scooter small gaps to prevent water to reach into battery and electronic compartments!!! Seals in the smallest gaps!!! And yes I dont use in vehicles (cars) but on electric scooters!!! in 2 years using this product has proven that there is no other product to use as resistant to water, heat and makes a gasket and can be clean like a rubber when components are open and re-apply again. Down side is that is hard to use. dries out all the time when use and mainly brakes the tube when pressing it after a while the tube pops open from other parts. starts!!! Totally recommend it!

Replaced oil pan and used permatex alone. No gasket.6 months later I had to change my oil and all is still good.. As expected

This works great. I used to this as a gasket to put on a 2012 VW CC and it fills and thickens quick.

Obviously getting this is a tube form requires gentle handling. The cap, once the tube guard is open, will not accept but just a little torque or else crack. If you want it to cure on your engine, expect it to cure once you put the tube away.

I have used this several times when installing diesel heaters in various camper van builds. I use it to seal the underside of the van to make sure NO carbon monoxide is able to get into the van from the exhaust opening, even when firmly screwed into the floor. This product is able to withstand the extreme exhaust heat of a diesel heater. Be forewarned that it is messy and gloves and lots of clean-up material is needed, even when you are very careful. Do not let it touch your hands (per instructions), nor breathe it in while applying. This is used to seal exhaust hole, not as an adhesive possessing much adhesive strength.

Permatex is a good product and hold up to what the specific material is intended for. I have used many Permatex products and always had good luck with them if you use the correct product for a specific job. Always use Permatex recommendation for your application and follow the instructions.

No Leaks so far. It'a been over a month. Sealed the Timing chain cover for 2002 CorollaUpdate: 7/22/22. Still works great. Awesome product.
