Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: When falling on hard times, many families face the hard decision of having to give up their pets. This accounts for millions of pets that are destroyed in county shelters each year in the United States. Pet Buddies' hopes to decrease this burden on families by providing pet food, supplies, spay & neuter, and education through our mobile outreach program. Families should not have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization.

Results: We have donated over 100,000lbs of pet food to pets in need. We have spayed and neutered over 1,300 pets for families who couldn't afford it. We also have built fencing for chained dogs, built cat and dog houses for outdoor pets, provided vet care assistance and have helped Atlanta's community homeless cats by providing TNR. (trap, neuter, return)

Target demographics: Under-served communities get the supplies they need to help better care for their pets

Direct beneficiaries per year: 3,000+ pets in need in struggling communities and families during temporary hard times

Geographic areas served: Atlanta, GA

Programs: Free spay and neuter, free pet food assistance, vet care sponsorship, TNR cat assistance and community outreach
