My giant schnauzer loves to play tug of war with this toy. I take it to his trading classes since it doesn't have a squeaker. It stretches out as you play with it.

We have a Belgian malinois mix who can destroy any toy in less than a minute (sigh). He chews tugs apart while tugging.Anyhow, there something about having the loop with the ball that hits his brain differently. He tugs, but doesn't try to chew the rope part. He even drops it nicely which is a struggle for us.We use it for indoor play and (of course) I wouldn't leave him alone with it since the ball is pretty small if it did come off.I'll definitely be buying another!

It's definitely become quite unraveled since I've gotten it, but the ropes will stretch and pull, but never ripped off or frayed with my pup's tugging and chewing. We'd never leave any rope toys around our dog, but with this I don't worry as much if I forget to immediately put it away after play. Truly the best rope tug toy for us!

I have 2 German Shepherd Dogs (1- 9.5 years old the other 5.5 Months old) that like to play Tug of War with this - and they Have NOT Destroyed it (YET) and I have had it for a couple of months now...That in itself speaks to the sturdiness...The puppy also plays with it by himself and throws it around...Good Toy and fairly inexpensive !!

As the description says countless times, THIS IS A TUG TOY. It should not be left alone with dogs who chew or tear toys. All the negative reviews are from people who failed to understand this.My dog (35lb Border Collie) LOVES this toy. Absolutely loves it. He is obsessed with tug and fetch-then-tug, and this toy is perfect for dogs who have the same play style. We have do agility and have a bunch of tug toys that easily cost 3x as much as this one, but I think he likes this toy more than nearly all of them.

Our small terrier puppy loves this toy...it's soft and floppy and easy to play tug with her. Would buy again! Definitely recommend.

My dog absolutely loves this toy. This is her second one. She loves to shred things and the reason for the 3 star durability. For that reason it is a toy she can only play with a human. She is a Golden Retriever and loves to shred things. Occasionally she will tear the "tail" or pull it out of its braid. I just put more knots in the loose strands to make it stronger. It can withstand her tugging during play and is easy to throw. And because she loves it I will continue to replace it. We have a lot of fun playing tug and fetching this toy.

Although this toy was pretty, it did not stand up to use. Tug of war? Not. The material was not durable. It lasted maybe 6 hours. All that's left is the ball.

This toy is soft enough for puppies to grab, long enough so that I don't have to bend over when I drag it in the ground for him to chase and is the first toy he really played tug with.

We've had this toy for almost 3 months now, having gotten it for our puppy when she was 2 months old. This thing hasn't frayed or ripped even a little despite being a constant favorite day after day. We love that it's safer than rope since there's no loose threads to swallow and she loves the tugging ability and the bouncy ball. Its also long enough to play with while seated on the couch. It's a great toy and if it does get destroyed we will definitely replace it with an exact copy.

I bought this so my little girl and our puppy could play tug of war. They really enjoy the toy together and have tons of fun with it, but in almost no time the fabric strands are broken and wearing out. Several have already broken off all the way. The fabric used is a soft, fleecy felt. If my dog who is neither big or strong could wear it out this fast just by normal play, there's no doubt a bigger dog could destroy this thing in an hour.

Gentle on teeth and length saves my hands from Jaws. Dog lives bouncing ball end. Well designed and very well made. Highly recommend.
