I melted this in a mini crockpot so everyone could dip their own apples. Was a HUGE hit! I did about 30 large apples and still have some left over to make turtles with next. Easy to use, easy to melt and tastes great.

Always a great buy! I love peters caramel! I will make homemade caramel but for large quantities of apples peters is the best.

Bought 2 of these and made caramel apples with kids and their friends. Easy to work with, just added to a crockpot and that was it! We made about 24 apples per 5 lb. box. Dipped them in some favorite toppings and made for a fun afternoon. The taste was great and really held the goodies on it well. Would recommend and re-buy this item for another apple dipping party! Not sure if the price was a lot or not, never really bought a 5 lb. brick of caramel before. Box came with some directions and recipes.

The candy store that I watch on you tube. (Hercules Candy). Uses this Carmel . I love that we can buy it also. Love Carmel and this will certainly fill the bill. After ordering from Hercules , I already know this is going to be wonderful.

My wife stuffs brownies with this product and gets rave reviews. The caramel is creamy and smooth. Delicious! Each loaf comes sealed in heavy plastic and you just slice off what you need. We used to use the little cubes you get at a candy store on in a bag at the market and there is no comparison. They are dry and hard compared to Peter's.

I have been using this for a while and the quality has always been great. I recently placed 2 separate orders of 2 each total of 4 and have had major issues with a lot of air bubbles. It is fine for making popcorn however, when I went to make 2 dz caramel apples for an eventit was a major disaster because the apples had air bubbles.Not sure what is different and nervous about ordering anymore.

I only use this when making caramel apples. I put the block in a Crock Pot on high and it melts it perfectly. Highly recommended.

This isn't caramel I would choose to eat as an indulgent snack. However, I use it for multiple recipes, usually melted and mixed with another ingredient (milk, butter, etc) and I truly couldn't be happier with this product!I have tried multiple brands of caramels--grocery store and online, individually wrapped and bulk. Peters tastes and works better than any bulk or store-bought caramels I have tried.
