Mission: Pianos for Peace uplifts lives and transforms communities by engaging artists in volunteer service programs to make the arts accessible to all. We unite communities by building peace through music and education.

Results: Pianos for Peace impacts 20,000 Atlanta public schools students and 500 nursing home residents and hospital patients. We have reached 1+ million Atlantans and visitors via the annual Pianos for Peace Festival, one of the largest public art displays in Atlanta with 88 colorful painted pianos in 2019 for everyone to enjoy.

Target demographics: Under-resourced schools, healthcare facilities and community organizations in need.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Impacted 20,000 students in 63 schools mainly in underserved communities. Served 1.2 million during the annual Pianos for Peace festival. Engaged 64 artists and 57 musicians who served 436 residents in nursing homes. Donated 95 painted pianos to schools, nursing homes and organizations in need.

Geographic areas served: The Greater Metro Atlanta.

Programs: Pianos for Peace serve the community through three main programs: Community Arts, Music Therapy and Arts Education. Each program is defined by the needs of our partner communities, the volunteer service of artists. and by our commitment to build peace through music and education.
