Only use this for a short period of time each year and the store is always out. Got this nice big container and now have enough to get me through spring. Cook my corn beef in it then dump the greasy water and start over with new spice and new water, corned beef is great and this container gives me enough spice to do the job plus NO greasy meat.

Make sure to read the spice ingredeants first! I didn't - and I was unpleasant;y surprised. I just didn't like it ... but this is a matter of personal taste. There is nothing wrong with it. Many people would probably love it... and. in all fairness it would not be fair or ethical for me to write a poor review just because I personally didn't like it - does not merit that. Shame on me for not reading the whole ad. Live and learn. This may be a perfect picklintg sppice for your taste. Read the label - and you will know. Read before you buy.

These Spices give a much better flavor by adding them, The packet that comes wit it is really us es less be cause not enough in there or the Corned Beef. I add twice as much of the Spice Seasoning for my taste. YUMMY so try it can not go wrong.

Today I used it in the brine I made for the corned beef I plan to use for St. Patrick's Day. I won't know until the brisket is cooked.

I just cooked a corned beef last night. This large spice container is such a good deal. Safeway charges over $5.00 for a small container. We cook Corned Beef throughout the year because we enjoy it. I use 2 spice balls when I cook the meat. Love that smell!

I bought this for making corned beef. The spices are just right for corned beef. I don't pickle anything. Although it would be great, unless your definition of pickling is the same as my great uncle who equated pickling with copious amounts of alcohol. In that case, this won't work at all.

It has been difficult to find pickling spice where I normally get it. The places I can get it it's a very small container. This does the trick at a reasonable price. I use it to pickle beets and boiled eggs.
