My initial complaint was that there are no directions or suggested quantities. I wouldve liked to see a simply guide that tells you how much to put into different sized mason jars for canning. But maybe this has more applications than I realize.My daughter and I like the flavor. It's a simple pickle with a bite to it. It was a but strong on the clove, but that could be how much I measured into the jar when canning. My son's and husband don't care too much for the flavor. They like dill, bread and butter and other flavors. I'd like to try to find a large quantity of a dill pickling mix.

This wasn't a good pickling spices for my taste but I can totally use this for corned beef. They never give you enough seasoning for that and it's a pain to make it.excellent for corned beef

As good a the small jars at the supermarket.

Today I used it in the brine I made for the corned beef I plan to use for St. Patrick's Day. I won't know until the brisket is cooked.
