This unit it pretty quiet and my cats love it. At first they were a bit scared...even the cat who prefers to drink from the bathroom sink faucet... but now all 3 love it. If it does become a little noisy just rinse and refill. Or check the water levelMake sure you clean regularly and change the filter!

My Cats love this fountain. Gives them the effects of drinking from the sink like my cat does.It is very quiet, easy to clean and has adjustable water flow . Highly recommend.

I rescued a cat and the poor lil man did not really know how to cat. He could not figure out how to drink out of a bowl with still water. I had a fountain for him that just spit the water out a little at the top. He treated that the same as still water bowls. He could, however, drink out of the sink. This lil guy had been through a lot and was making strides everyday so I would tutn the sink on for him all the time, so much so that he figured out how to turn it on himself. With that said I got a call from the water company saying they were sending a tech I had to have a leak LOL I said no its my rescue cat. Funny until the bill came (YIKES). So this was my solution! My sink has a goose neck faucet so I gave this a try. I am so glad I did. It is silent, can not hear it at all, it clans so much easier than the other type of fountain. He adapted right away and no leaves the sink off. He rescued me :)

My kitty loves this! I have tried several other fountain type watering things for my kitty and she's hated them all, however, this one she actually uses and likes.

I love this thing, until I hate it. When it's clean it's soundless and the cats drink from it all the time. As soon as it get even slightly gunky, whatever that is, twice to three times a week, it makes a ton of noise and the cats aren't fans.Expect to clean it every other day at a minimum. Seems like you should be able to go a week just refilling it, but... nope. Requires a good scrubbing and a new filter way too often.

10 year old cat spent last six years drinking from leaky faucet in walk in shower. Moved to new apt with tub and no leaky faucet. Very unhappy feline who would jump in tub after baths. Very dangerous for aging feline. Lots of yowls in middle of night. I opened the faucet and provided step stool but it wasn't ideal and tub was harder to clean muddy paw prints than shower. I had already tried another fountain and she would not go near it. It scared her.Determined the faucet drinking would stop, I put up with cat screaming in anger and desperation for a week. She drank from her regular bowl, but she wasn't getting enough hydration.Did a search to see how to train her away from this behavior and encourage bowl drinking and came upon this fountain that mimics a faucet. I ordered same day delivery and set it up. She wasn't frightened and examined it, but didn't drink at first. I turned pump off and she drank from bowl. Next day turned on fountain and she was drinking from bowl and the 'faucet' quite calmly with only one weak yowl to test. She adapted quickly and was consuming much more waterOnly downside is the swan neck which rises higher than a regular bowl or fountain and interferes with opening cabinets. I'll live with that.
