Mission: PPBR is focused on rescuing and rehoming strays and owner surrendered dogs (all breeds) that have been brought to the local kill shelter. Their mission includes putting an end to the negative stigma of pit bulls and bully breeds and to be true ambassadors of all breeds by promoting responsible dog ownership through education, training, respect for others (both human and canine), spay/neutering, and proper identification through microchipping are just some of the key components emphasized.
Results: In 2021 - 135 new dogs entered the shelter, 145 dogs were adopted, 1 dog was reclaimed by their original owner, 3 dogs died due to health issues, 10 dogs were transferred to other rescues.
