Keeping a pool clean is a lot harder without the help of an automatic pool cleaner. Because of that, it's a good idea to keep yours in good shape. If your pool cleaner has seen better days, it could be time for the Polaris K5 Pool Cleaner Replacement Cover. This blue cover is made to go on top of several different pool cleaners. Those cleaners include the Polaris pool cleaner model 280, Vac-Sweep 280, and the 280 TankTrax. The main thing that this cover does is it protects the internal components of your pool cleaner. Without it, the wheel blocks, turbine bearings, and some of the water piping will be susceptible to damage. Thankfully, replacing the pool cleaner cover is an easy job. It doesn't take any professional help, and the only tool you'll need is a screwdriver. First, if your pool cleaner is connected to your pool pump, you're going to want to turn the pool pump off. For extra safety, it's a good idea to completely cut power to the pump with your circuit breaker. Then, disconnect your pool cleaner from the pump. After that, you're going to want to disconnect the sweep hose, the head float, and the debris bag. Once these things are off, you can start taking off the main cover. if you look at the cover from above, you'll see that there's a small hole behind the center circle. Inside this hole is a screw that's keeping the cap in place. Remove it with a screwdriver. Then, you'll be able to remove the cover by just lifting it up. You might have to angle it a bit to fit it around some of the piping in the main tower. Once it's out, you can put the new cover in its place. Screw it into position, and you've then successfully replaced the cover for your pool cleaner. Put the other components back into place, and you're all done. Don't let a cracked cover hold your cleaner back. Get it fixed with the Polaris K5 Pool Cleaner Replacement Cover. That way you can once again enjoy the sweet feeling of relaxing in clean water.
