Good pump, the only draw back I have is that the water volume at the water fall head is greatly over rated. Mine is hooked up to 1 1/2 smooth hose with a 4' rise. According to their specs it should produce 650 gph. No way. My suggestion is always go bigger !!

Added a waterfall and needed a larger pump. The pump I replaced was a pondmaster that was four year olds and still working. Waterfall looks great and fully expect the same performance from this pump.

So far so good with this pump. I am using it on a waterfall and it has done well so far. Has not clogged up or given me problems in 2 months.

I've owned two of these pumps for my backyard pond. The first one lasted many years, about 10, and probably would have kept on humming if our big pup had not pulled it out & chewed the cord before I set the pond up this spring. I also set this pump inside a pump sock that has pvc balls inside. The sock acts as a filter for fine particulates and the pvc balls act as a bio-filter to help clarify the water.

Loved the product, works beyond expectations. Would recommend to anyone with fish pool. Wish we had known about this brand sooner!

Very good construction and quality - love the pump but think I oversized initially....am downsizing to a model 7 pondmaster to better fit the 60 gallon acrylic I have. Thanks.

Owned a much smaller Pondmaster MagDrive - 350 that runs continously even during the winter for more than 8 years. Never a problem. I expect this should perform the same way. Its very quiet and well built. The specs of the pump are dead on with regards to the GPH it provides. WIth 10 feet of 1 inside diameter hose pumping 3 feet of that below water - through a UV lamp it will produce about 700 GPH to my pressure filter which isn't bad. I think a 1 1/2 hose would produce a bit more. Vendor delivered the pump quickly and it was in a retail box. What more can I say - its a good quiet and well made pump. The price was far cheaper as well.

This pump is solid. Goodbye cheap pumps... this one seems like it will actually last through a year. Four stars because it did NOT have a foam prefilter. It came with a strainer/basket type prefilter, good for catching large stuff, but definitely not foam as stated. Still a good buy, however.

This unit works fine but is designed for intermittent usage. Continuous usage causes a flexible rod to heat up and break,. A brass or metal rod would resolve the problem with the fiber rod breakage.

Very good pump, I'm using it on my aquarium sump. It is much stronger than expected. It is a little loud that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Keeping it for a back up because pond maintenance always has unexpected problems arise and I like to be prepared.

I've had this for a year now and have not had any problems with it. It's being used as a return pump for a saltwater tank.

I have been satisfied with the performance of the first of these pumps I purchased, and I expect the same performance from this one. I purchased this pump to keep my pond going while I maintain the first pump (clean the impeller). These pumps are dependable and easy to maintain.

Quick shipping and durable product. Only wish it came with two filters instead of one. Use mine to feed a biological filter so usually do not have to clean it often but when the pond sludges up it could need cleaning once a week or more.

I used this pump to setup a mixing station for my saltwater tank. It is very powerful and pretty quiet. Product came as described and in good new condition. Took awhile to arrive, but still in the shipping/arrival window that was estimated.

I ordered 3 pumps for an indoor fountain. others made too much noise and were cheaply made. this pump runs so quietly, I don't even hear it running. it does make a clunk noise when I turn it on, but runs like a charm and is unbelievably quiet. I would definitely recommend.

I got this pump because it is a measurable or an inline pump. I have a rain water collection system and I wanted to use this pump to run my water sprinkler. The line pressure was not very good.... maybe 7 psi. I would have given it 5 stars because it seems to do what it is supposed to, but the intake and the outlet are made of plastic, when I was screwing the inlet onto the outlet of my rain water collection system, it cracked the pump head. I was not turning hard, I just put some Teflon tape on and turned it one handed a few times, then "CRAACKKK". I will be sending it back and will be looking for a product that gives higher line pressure.

I purchased this to replace a Barracuda 1/4 HP Thermoplastic Utility Pump which continually tripped the GFCI and would occasionally stop working altogether. The old pump was rated at 1800 GPH as compared to the Danner at 950 GPH. The Danner pump vastly outperforms the Barracuda pump despite being rated at 50% of the flow. NOTE: This pump comes with the Rigid pump filter and not the foam filter as stated in the listing.
