Hooked this pump to a koi pond bottom drain aerator (rubber diaphragm type) and the bubble action raises the water level at least a 1/4 inch above the drain. It's very quiet and efficient. Came with a long cord for ease of connection. Very happy after the first few days of use. We hope it is as reliable as it is functional; time will tell.

This pump will last you for years. That's the difference in buying a cheap pump which usually last a year or so. Our 1st Danner Air pump lasted us for 9 years. If you have a pond this is a must have!!!! Prior the Danner pump my 14 koi (range from 2-3ft in size) pretty much hung out at the bottom of the pond. Yes they are beautiful to watch in our pond but they only came up for food. Once we put pump in our pond it was like Club Koi. They ABSOULTELY love it!!!! I wish I could post a video so you can see for yourself. They swim all through it pushing each other out of the way. Once I turn it off it clean the filters they go back to the bottom all sad with slow movement. I order this product for my mother on Mother's day and she was sooo happy to see all her koi active! If you are gonna have a pond you MUST have these two things: UV light and Danner Air pump!!

the unit was a lot smaller then I had thought it would be, it has been very reliable and has been running non-stop for a few months now. it has been cold enough to create 5" thick ice (probably thicker at times) and has covered over the air pocket that the pump has made, which I had to break with a shovel, but it was COLD, and not the fault of the pump. we covered it with a plastic storage bin and it has been perfect!

I have the AP-100 and the AP-60 and both produce plenty of air for my larger pond. I was looking for a smaller air pump for my turtles; one that would move the water but not create so much disturbance on the top of water. This small pump is perfect! This pump is very quiet and a little bit smaller than the AP-100. I love these air pumps and also appreciate the ability to buy replacement parts easily. If your pump ever stops moving enough air but the motor is still working; the rubber drum inside has probably cracked. Takes about 45 minutes to replace all of the rubber parts.

This is my first air pump that I have ever purchased of this size, but I was very impressed with the amount of air it actually pushed. It has been running continuously for a month or so and I've had no problems. It is also very quiet!!
