This pump appears to be well made from quality materials. With respect to durability and persistence, we'll see after a couple of years, but at first installation, I am hopeful.

This is the longest lasting pond pump I have used. I love how the case is sealed and the drive mechanism is magnetic through the sealed case.

I did a lot of research on pumps for my fish pond before buying one and I'm glad I did. Google their name and read up on them. They actually give a damn and have a great product. I've only had it a few weeks, but I'm confident it will last a long time.

Easy to install and perfect volume flow rate for 30 inch bowl fountain to have even flow over entire rim. Did not require ball valve. Made refinements to flow with electricians putty to control rate of drainage through bottom of bowl. Longevity improved by placing in a filter bag in addition to using large leaf filter hardware and by placing vertically with leaf filter hardware pointing skywards. Better to run frequently rather than seldom.

I've had one of these pumps running continuously for 18 years on my salt water coral aquarium without a hitch, I probably should replace the magnet/impeller soon just for good measure, but I think I'll just buy an identical pump as a spare instead.

I've been working with pondmaster pumps since 2015 when a dozen of them were thrust upon me without my consent. I begrudgingly accepted them for a project involving cultivating macro algae in salt water.I was skeptical of using any kind of submersible pump, but these things proved their mettle. The strainer kept almost all detritus out of the impeller housing, and the pump was able to spit out the majority of what got in. On those rare occasions when the mats of algae were too dense and would jam a pump, clearing them was merely a matter of minutes and the pump was back in operation.Reliability wise, these pumps ran in quite possibly the worst environments possible, and they all lasted well over a year with non-stop operation. I'm sure if we had planned routine maintenance cycles on these pumps and cleared jams more often they would all still be running at 100.

I only use danner mag drive pumps for my aquariums. They are silent and efficient.

Replaced our Little Giant pump with this one. Used in a water fountain/patio pond in our office courtyard. Previously mentioned pump cost close to $315 and we were getting about 6 months of use out of it before it had to be replaced. This pump works much better than our old ones, it has a higher flow volume. The magnetic drive allows slip so that the motor doesn't burn up when debris get in the impeller. Of course we use a strainer but debris are something you live with in such a setup. Very quiet operation! Easy to clean/maintain. Would be great for pumping from a rain catchment system etc. Its a really tough little pump. Attach flanges for the hoses are nice and thick so you wont worry about breaking them.
