Mission: The mission of Population Media Center is to collaborate with the mass media and other organizations worldwide to bring about stabilization of human population numbers at a level that can be sustained by the world's natural resources and to lessen the harmful impact of humanity on the earth's environment. The emphasis of the organization's work is to educate people about the benefits of small families, elevate women's status, promote the concept of gender equity, and encourage the use of effective family planning methods.

Geographic areas served: developing nations around the world, but mostly in Africa,
Programs: radio serial dramas (soap operas!) to encourage use of family planning, avoid HIV/AIDS and STIs, prevent domestic violence, promote girls' education and put a stop to child brides.
