I guess that I thought a soft shell jacket was a fleece lining with an outer waterproof / windproof layer. This is not that kind of jacket.PRO the fit is right... order large, you get large unusually warm, thick, cozy and soft my wife says it looks sharp on me well madeCON must add a cheap windbreaker to wear over it to be dry in a drizzle overpriced for what it is -- a inner lining to their credit, they advertise core soft shell, so I guess it means inner lining only -- perhaps this is accepted, standard nomenclature for these jackets, or perhaps it's just sneaky. I don't know.If you don't mind the price, I recommend it based on quality and function. It works fine for what it is... you can add a windbreaker only if you like or need it.

Most employers get their workers shirts mine is no different. In work as I do going to church or going out I have several polo shirts in all different colors and during the colder months I will wear a pullover or full zip fleece type jacket. I have several Port Authority shirts from work and now have a few fleece jackets that are also Port Authority. I got this jacket for few reasons. For one I like the fit of my other Port Authority jackets. You could consider this a little on the small side but as a average size 6' 190lbs guy with pretty long arms this just right. I bought a different business type brand and that large was way to big. As one of the other reviewers said if you are in doubt you might want to get a size bigger. For me this is perfect. I didn't care to have it baggy. Also I wanted a variety in colors which this has. That's pretty much it. It's a basic light weight jacket. I think it's warm enough for cool days and seems to be a little water resistant too. If I wanted to layer up and throw on a bigger jacket or coat I could. In all great purchase.

It would be nice to have a velcro adjustment on the sleeve for those colder days or to keep the sleeves out of things.

The jacket is exactly as described. Fits as expected. Only downfall is it took almost 2 weeks to arrive.

I got this for my brother as an everyday jacket for college, and he liked it a lot. He said it was really comfy and no complaints so far.

I have one that has a built in level 3 body armor I personally like this it's cheap yet really study and reliable design no you can't get body armor built in here I had a different company do that but as for the jacket itself I highly recommend

Ok so there are better jackets out there but, not many for the price. I wear these for work and the durability and price are hard to match. Again, it's not the best jacket you can get but you're not going wrong with this one either

Ordered the large as I atm 5'11 and 185 and wear a 16 34/35 fitted shirt. Jacket sleeves were plenty long, which was nice. DWR finish is good and collar and body taper are great. It would've given 5 stars if:- Jacket is very lightweight. Seems to block wind alright, but fleece on the inside is very light.- Zipper pockets on the outside are nice, but no pockets on the inside at all. Could use an inside chest pocket.- Also, wish it came in dark brown. I got the Forest Green and it is very green and not super dark.Overall, very happy for the price, just a couple tweaks.
