My son throws shotput and discus in track and loves it. I got this for him so he could have his own to practice at home and it's great. He loves having his own and it's a great quality discus. If you have someone who does this in school, highly recommend getting one of their own to practice. Could mean a future scholarship :)

Purchased this disc with intend to begin practicing for College Track and Field, and it is great! I would recommend to anyone. I normally would not use a wooden disc as I prefer the aluminum ones, but this works just fine for the price being paid.

We have bought several discus this year but this one seems to be my sons favorite to practice with. He says it fits well in his hand.

Great disucs. Love the way it flies as well as the way it feels. Ordered this on Tuesday and wasn't supposed to get it until Thursday the next week. Got it one day after ordering and didn't pay for next day either! Awesome buy.

My daughter, who is 11 years old and just began throwing this year, likes the way this disc fits in her grip and the smooth way it releases. Only problem we've had is a screw came loose, so make sure you check the screws every once in awhile.

This discus is smooth and comfortable in my hand compared to other discus. It has nice flight and feels balanced.

I threw the discus in high school and did fairly well with it. The college and Olympic discus was too big for me. But when I learned that a 1 kg. discus was used for my age group, I leaped at the opportunity. I'm having a blast! This Nelco discus is terrific. The metal assembly loosened a bit -- readily correctly with a 75 cent wrench. Highly recommended!

Originally, I was going to give this item four stars, but honestly the only fault I can even pretend to find with this discus is its semi-low rim weight, which I knew about before purchasing it. This is a great buy for anybody who needs a practice or competition discus and is not yet ready for the higher rim weights, and also just a solid discus at a great price.

I bot it for my son because he developed an interest in discus. He loves it! (9th grader) He likes it better than the rubber ones and is at a skill level where he is practicing the full turn outside of meets. I think this is probably better than what he needs, but it worked great.

These disc are very affordable disc which means you can stock up for extra throws in practice. They will fly better if you have beginner discus thrower. Would highly recommend

I am a high school thrower at about 110' and this discus performs right up there with the $200-$300 discs! It's a great buy!

came in as just the wood and disc, no stickers, but it is weighted perfectly and arrived well before projected date. glad to finally have a set off these, only complaint is that laminated wood becomes un-laminated quickly (most likely because im throwing it dozens of times a day)

This is a very durable , well made discus. I've thrown it hundreds of times in my improvised backyard throwing circle. Its hit trees and rocks and rolled into my gravel driveway and has held up beautifully.

This discus has a good weight distribution and glides really well, even with my horrible technique. I'm very glad I chose this one. It's smooth on the release where I'd read the rubber ones were difficult to get that nice squeeze at the end of the cast. It's my first discus, and for a beginner, I'd highly recommend it. Someone more advanced might not like it. I don't know, just too ignorant to tell a good discus from a bad one. All I know is I love it and throw it two or three days per week.

This I bought since it was very inexpensive and brings back memories of years ago, even though I still compete. It is a good training discus.

This discus has held up through two seasons thus far. It has resisted nicks and is balanced well for my experienced as well as inexperienced throwers.

I am a HS coach, I thought these were a great buy. I bought them to use as practice discs, 5 of these and an old bucket, and your athletes can get their practice throws completed much more quickly, and with less time shagging the discs. I have used these in the past, I choose to always throw with a certain side up, and then I just resprayed the bottom side about once a month with clear sprayto keep the wood sealed, those discs lasted many seasons, I feel sure these will as well
