Mission: To promote awareness, prevention, and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. It is the vision of psi that every woman and family worldwide will have access to information, social support, and informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. Psi promotes this vision through advocacy and collaboration and by educating and training the professional community and the public.

Programs: PSI provides support to families and training to professionals and lay volunteers. The psi website at www. Postpartum. net provides information on all forms of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders along with referrals to local resources for consumers and professionals. The psi social support network provides a network where psi members, area coordinators and volunteers in all 50 states, the district of columbia, puerto rico, and 40 countries worldwide provide emotional support through groups, educational information and referral to local professionals for postpartum families in their areas.
