Mission: Potter’s House works with a community of about 11,000 who live at the margins of the city garbage dump in Guatemala City. The community members scavenge in the dump for recyclables and other material that may be of economic interest. Potter’s House provides educational, nutritional, medical, micro-enterprise financing, compassionate relief, and community leadership training in this setting. Potter’s House Association-International assists with training, advice, and practical assistance, and operates the Potter’s House office in the United States.
