Installed on a 350 in a 1980 corvette with a huge original style failing starter and headers running close to the starter. I had to clock or turn it one notch because it was hitting the engine block. After that it fit perfect with no need to shim. Instructions say they don't recommend any wrap, but I put some on because my headers are so close to it. So far so good. Not getting any lagging like I was getting with the old starter. Very strong.

Great starter for the money. It cranks my 400 sbc with ease. I ran the exact same one for 7 years with headers until she finally gave up the ghost!

3 bolt mount is great..So far fixed my starter from shifting..My block had a hairline crack and was shifting after a few cycles.

The clocking was easy to adjust and the shim kit included in the box made it adjust to fit perfectly on my 97 5.7l Chevy block. It starts great every time and it seems to be of good quality.

The OEM starter suffers from overheating due to the exhaust running next to the solenoid, preventing starting when hot. This one allows orientation of the solenoid away from the exhaust to keep it cool. It also cranks faster than the OEM.
