Mission: Mission: Presents for Pets provides custom printed containers used for collecting donated items to benefit animals in need. These containers are provided at no cost to various non-profit groups that desire to help homeless pets in their community. Goals:
•To promote a publicly recognized donation program that encourages others to give with confidence.
•To provide containers that are printed with the Presents For Pets logo to qualified animal rescues, shelters, civic groups or other organizations that desire to obtain donated items that directly benefit homeless pets in their community.
•Future Considerations – establish a collection and distribution site for new donated pet products (dog-cat). Objectives:The Presents For Pets Program has been established to support Volunteers of various organizations in their collection of new donated items that are needed by the homeless pets in their community. By having a publicly recognized donation container that is placed in retail stores, businesses, schools, churches, etc. , people can have confidence in the organization that has received and placed the Presents For Pets container. These containers are sent to various, viable non-profit groups at no cost, upon their request, to be used for supply drives throughout the year but especially during the holiday season. By making the act of donating more convenient, more people can participate in providing for the needs of homeless pets in their community.
Results: 2020 Holiday Season Update;This year we had Volunteers from 5 animal rescue and shelter groups utilize our supply drive containers to obtain donations at 40 various retail and private business locations in North Georgia. Boxes were placed from Thanksgiving until New Years'. Hundreds of dollars worth of items were purchased by shoppers or employees and placed in the boxes. It was a successful season of giving to the homeless pets in each of their communities. The 2019 holiday season is our official program launch. We hope to have dozens of boxes placed by multiple non-profit animal rescue groups this year. In 2017 and 2018 we tested our supply drive program and built our donation boxes from scratch. The 2 boxes were placed at our local Walmart store and were well received by our community. We averaged nearly $500 each year in donated supplies that were posted as our WISH LIST needs. These items were brought to our local animal shelter and our rescue group.
Target demographics: Volunteers working with homeless pets to obtain donated supplies
Direct beneficiaries per year: 5 animal rescue groups in multiple cities in Georgia.
Geographic areas served: Georgia currently but are beginning our outreach to other states in 2021
