I wanted this as a temp backgammon game while on vacation and didn't want to spend much money. A number of the checkers are warped and crooked. Wouldn't be all that good for checkers as they wouldn't stack. The chess pieces don't stand well as they aren't level. When we get home, we'll probably donate it, but it will do until then. It's basically a disposable set.

This item was purchased as part of an organizational outreach to provide toys to needy kids during the holidays. Each item was specially curated for this purpose, with emphasis being an attractive price point in order to maximize spend. Got this for my grandson. Perfect to teach him the game. I put the pieces in a zip lock bag. Reasonably well made.

I used to play with these as a child so I got them for my grandchildren. I first received an eye roll for my effort . After watching me play with their mother they wanted to play and then again and again and again.
