Finally replaced my 25 year old tester for something more accurate. Flushed my old truck and replaced with 50 concentrate and 50 distilled water and was accurate.

Took car to tire store to check antifreeze. They couldn't get a reading.Tried auto parts store. Same result.???Made the big investment (not) and ordered this.Easily got cold/hot readings.Thinking of opening a “Check Your Antifreeze” garage.Always wanted to live on easy street.

Easily can measure quality of coolant evaluate cleanliness of it as well. This tester saved me from assuming my coolant needed changing.

Solid tester that has yielded accurate results based on tests done before checking the antifreeze in my vehicle. My one complaint would be the length of the hose that extracts the fluid. It is slightly curved, partially due to the packaging, and it makes it difficult to extract the antifreeze if the reservoir tank isn't full. This may not be an issue for most, but I got this tester after my vehicle overheated and the lost coolant was temporarily replaced with water. Overall, it's a solid item that can provide comfort to those who live in areas that experience freezing.

Worked perfect. As for accuracy, I'll let you know if my lines freeze, but according to this handy do-dad, I don't have anything to worry about. Pretty easy to use, if you want it sparkling clean afterwards I suppose you'd have to flush it with water, but that's easy enough too.Instructions on the pack are reasonably easy to follow, it's a decent piece of kit.

This simple to use, Prestone coolant tester has pasted the test of time. Remember you need a large enough volume to have the indicator submerged in order to test accurately. Once a proper volume is drawn into the reservoir the reading is accurate and instantaneous.Remember to wash the reservoir and the bulbs 2-3 times with clear water before allowing to dry and storing away. If this is done , the tester will last you decades (as it did for me)
