I wanted a tee that allows me to reliably tee the bottom of the ball 2.5 off the ground. This tee allows me to do that by sinking the tee into the ground so that half the green is left showing. The 1.5 is helpful for soft and spongy teeing ground conditions. For rock hard conditions, I have a different tee which only requires 3/4 of ground depth to achieve 2 1/2 inches, tees also made by same company but with blue stripes.

Bought these because I found that a lot of my grief off the tee was because I was teeing the ball too low, I stopped grounding my driver, started teeing a little higher and what a difference in my distance as well as fairway consistency.

I love these tees and keep ordering them over again. I put them in the ground right to where the colored mark ends and it's always the perfect ball height. Adds a lot of consistency to my driving game.

My father in law swears by these and they are hard to find in the stores. Great price and they seem to sturdy. They seem to with stand many hard swings of the club.
