I wasn't using them for golf, but for a STEM activity for kids with a wooden pegboard. Each color tee was a different diameter, varying up to 1/8" of an inch. Probably not a primary concern of the manufacturer.

I use these tees to pin lifesavers to an archery bale. They work fine, I think a bit longer will work better for my purposes. But they are well made tees.
